Thibodeaux number one in West Asia Super League for round 8 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Travin Thibodeaux (203-F-1996) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Al-Manama, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Kazma (#3, 1-3) with 20-point margin 102-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al-Manama to consolidate first place in the West Asia Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al-Manama already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Thibodeaux had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Al-Manama's top player in his first season with the team. Lewis is a newcomer at Shabab Al Ahli, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.5ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 6.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Clinton Chapman (208-F/C-1989, agency: Diamond Sports) of Kazma (#3). Chapman got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Chapman's great performance the Kazma lost 82-102 to #1 ranked Al-Manama. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Kazma can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Chapman has a very solid season. In 4 games in West Asia Super League he scored 21.5ppg.
